East Burke, VT, July 8, 2019: Burke Mountain Academy (BMA) announces the appointment of BMA class of 1994 alumnus Chad Wolk to the FIS Men’s Staff. After BMA, Chad spent a year on the US Ski Team followed the University of Colorado where he played a role in winning back to back NCAA Team titles in 1999 and 2000.
After his competitive career, Chad held coaching positions with Buck Hill, Park City, and the former US National Training Group where he coached River Radamus to three Youth Olympic Gold medals. Most recently, Chad was an assistant coach with the US Men’s Europa Cup Team coaching athletes to one Gold and one Silver medal in the 2017 World Junior Championships.
“Chad has a proven track record of successfully developing athletes in junior ski racing. He will play an integral role as we continue to push and elevate our program.” stated Brad Wall ’97, BMA Athletic Director.
As a BMA graduate and former staff member, Chad has a deep understanding of BMA, he commented, “I am incredibly excited about returning to Burke as a member of the FIS Men’s Staff. I am eager to join a great team that has been put in place and contribute to the development of young men as they grow as athletes, students, and most importantly people.”
Chad will be joining JP Daigneault (FIS men’s head coach), Jeff Sirjane and Peter Ostroski on the FIS men’s staff.
