The BMA Annual Fund
What is the Annual Fund?
The BMA Annual Fund is the yearly fundraising initiative to which our entire community – parents, alumni, grandparents, trustees, staff and friends – contributes annually. The purpose of the Annual Fund is to minimize the gap between tuition and the actual cost of a student’s education and training; at BMA this gap is more than $6,500 per student. Annual Fund dollars support scholarship and financial aid, staff development, facility enhancement and maintenance, educational programs, professional development, and other initiatives that help make Burke the leading ski racing academy in the U.S.
How can I contribute to the Annual Fund?
In the fall, all constituents receive an appeal for a contribution by mail. Our goal is to reach each family by the Thanksgiving holiday and have their commitment by the end of the calendar year. For those who prefer installment payments, pledges are appreciated before December 1 but are not due until the end of our campaign year on June 30. Gifts to the annual fund are tax deductible, and payments in full or in monthly installments can be made online. Should you wish to donate gifts of appreciated shares of stock, please contact the Development Office (information above) for transfer instructions.
Can I utilize my company’s Corporate Gift Matching program to increase my donation to BMA?
Corporate matching gifts are a great bonus to both the academy and your children. We are deeply grateful to those of you who take advantage of this opportunity and choose Burke as a recipient of your matching dollars. Please contact the Development Office if you would like to utilize this program so we can obtain the appropriate paperwork from your corporation.
How else can I get involved?
Volunteers drive our parent giving program and many of our other development initiatives. You may also contribute gift-in-kind donations to fulfill a wish list of needs that fall outside our budget. If you are interested in volunteering, donating a gift-in-kind, or learning more about opportunities to give to specific Scholarship Funds and Restricted Giving initiatives, please contact the Development Office.
