Dear BMA Community,
Over the past several days, our community has been working to adjust to a new reality in the wake of the increasing societal concerns relating to the COVID-19 virus. As you may be aware, we have closed our campus for the next few weeks in an effort to protect our students and staff and in the best interest of our local community. We remain concerned for the entire BMA family in this time of uncertainty.
At this time, it is with deep regret that we are announcing the postponement of BMA’s 50th Anniversary Celebration to a future date. We are all looking forward to this seminal event, however, we must acknowledge that it is in the best interest of all to reschedule the celebration to a time when we are certain that all of our friends, families, and alumni have an opportunity to participate. In the most severe outlook, it would be irresponsible to host such a large gathering of people from all over the world knowing that we all have an ethical responsibility to slow the spread of this virus. Even through a far more optimistic lens, we still must recognize that the uncertainty in the preceding weeks will prevent people from making appropriate travel plans and reservations which would diminish the special nature of this event.
For those who have already registered online, you can expect a phone call or email from Jodi or Jenny in the Development Office to assist you in refunding or re-allocating your payments.
All of the local lodging establishments that partnered with us to offer discounted rates for the 50th Anniversary Celebration have agreed to issue full refunds.
Thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to announcing the timing of the rescheduled event and to making it the special celebration that it should be!
