The holiday spirit is alive and well at Burke Mountain Academy! Students have been busy little elves working on a number of projects to benefit our local and extended communities. The fun began last week as the students joyfully prepared the annual BMA Holiday card for mailing, they finished all of them in one day! Next they moved on to making decorations from recycled items for a tree in the center of East Burke as part of contest for the Burke Chamber of Commerce.
The most rewarding experience was the annual shopping trip the students took to purchase gifts for local children and to stock the shelves of the food pantry. BMA worked with the charity HOPE on their Angel Tree project, providing gifts to 25 kids!
