Whew…the first month in the RBC has flown by like a snowflake in a winter gale. We officially dedicated the building on December 17th and less than 16 hours later, 94 Development Camp athletes and 10 coaches put the new facility through its paces while seeking shelter from freezing rain and ice covered lifts. Fortunately, the RBC is both well designed and well-constructed! The irony of a bad weather day coinciding with the opening of the RBC wasn’t lost on us.

After a short slumber during Christmas, the RBC was host to athletes from across North America.

I couldn’t think of a better opening month. Coaches and athletes descended on Burke from across the continent. Their responses to the RBC were an enthusiastic two thumbs up! We have a great new home for Burkies and guests alike.

The training has been going great, the facility is working as it should be. Spontaneous play is erupting and the smiles and laughter give me much optimism for our future.

Thank you to all who worked so hard to make the RBC a reality. Ronnie would be proud.
