Three days of Fundamentals-based early season training
December 20-23, 2017

Fundamentals-based on-snow training

At BMA we believe that strong fundamentals are the key to long-term success in ski racing. BMA student-athletes typically spend 20-50 days (depending on age) on snow training before their first races of the year, and a significant percentage of those days are spent free-skiing and working on drills and technique. For younger athletes, the percentage of free-ski and fundamental work should be even higher!

This camp is an opportunity to focus on superior technique and then learn how to begin moving your free-skiing into gates. Camp athletes will work with our own BMA coaches and have the opportunity to ski with BMA students.

For athletes who haven’t skied prior to this camp, we’ll work through a fundamentals-based athletic curriculum (the same curriculum that we use for our own BMA athletes in their prep-period training). For athletes who have already skied quite a bit, we’ll build on strong fundamentals with drill courses and increase volume to build repetition.
